Kenneth I. Resnick, MD
Retina Surgeon
Dr. Kenneth Resnick was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where he studied cellular biology and chemistry. He came to Chicago to study at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine where he earned his medical degree in 1981. He then returned to Ann Arbor for his medical internship. Dr. Resnick completed his residency in Ophthalmology at the Yale New Haven Hospital in 1985. At Yale he developed a life long fascination with the retina, which led to pursuing a fellowship in diseases and surgery of the retina and vitreous at the Cullen Eye Institute at Baylor College of Medicine.
Dr. Resnick is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. On returning to Chicago he joined the full time faculty of the Eye & Ear Infirmary of the University of Illinois. At the University of Illinois, Dr. Resnick conducted medical research and taught ophthalmology residents and fellows in retinal surgery. Dr. Resnick established Retina Associates in 1991.
Dr. Resnick is interested in art and design and pursues many design projects in his spare time. He and his wife have three children.
